I think he's right. He's got to walk. He should walk, the way the law is written. So, jsut remember that the next time some awkward little fatso harasses you on the street and doesn't go away when you tell him too that the law says he can shoot you for giving him the beatdown he so richly deserves and that the law favors the coward who picks a fight and then slaughters his unarmed assailant when he loses.
You know that somebody doesn't want to write something when they wind up writing like Yoda:
"Necessary for an acquittal to occur; also, yes it is."

Florida parents should take their Black teen sons to the shooting range. Make sure that your child is the one alive to tell the story.

Appropriate.
The jurors can consider manslaughter as well as second-degree murder. We shall see.

Most of us that live in Florida is hoping on at least manslaughter. We don't want more of these senseless killings by people who carry guns because they see danger under every rock. If he gets off, it will be open season in Florida by the crazy gun crowd looking for trouble.

I suppose you would attack the poor young woman, terrorized by the home invading "Assholes/ punks" if she had used a gun to defend herself and her infant? As far as Zimmerman knew Travon may have been the second invader, who hadn't been caught? Did Martin know the perp who terrorized the poor young mother, who was later caught and released? The Zimmerman defense was unduly prejudiced from submitting Martins boasting of fighting, which would have proved Travon had a disposition for aggressive behavior and that he wasn't a child of meekness. Maybe Travons girl -friend heard "get off" " my ass, cracker"

"We don't want more of these senseless killings by people who carry guns because they see danger under every rock."
This is exactly what the trial proved didn't exist - a paranoid irrational reaction to non-existent crime. The neighborhood had break-ins, the woman mentioned moved out because of the scary incident with her infant and an intruder, Zimmerman's overall behavior (leaving out the night in question) seemed proportional to the problem.
Why this is still expressed in counter-factual hyperbole is a bit hard to explain - you'd think at a basic level people would want to know the facts, but that seems not to be true.
