Former Republican Maricopa County Attorney Thomas and his Deputy have been disbarred for over 30 violations of legal ethics while holding public office, including seeking partisan based indictments, conducting contrived investigations, and intimidation of politicians and judges who tried to stand up to them. They were close associates of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Arizona Republic: Former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas and his onetime deputy, Lisa Aubuchon, were stripped of their law licenses today as a disciplinary panel handed down the toughest sanctions possible for ethical violations in a case that attracted national interest.......Charges cover a variety of allegations, including conflict of interest for holding press conferences to denounce the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, which was his client, and threatening county officials with litigation; falsely claiming a judge had filed Bar complaints against Thomas, in order to have the judge removed from a case; and seeking indictments against county officials to burden or embarrass them. In one case, the charges allege, Thomas and Aubuchon brought criminal charges against a county supervisor even though they knew that the statute of limitations had already expired on the offenses....

THIS IS A BIG DEAL!
For sure.
Criminal charges may be pending soon.
And Arpaio is right in the thick of things!
For sure!
You think that you can indict or charge a judge or judges who are presiding over certain cases and you have become Icarus incarnate!

Page 232 of the 247 page ruling, under 'Sanctions':
The Founders of these United States wanted a society which would be built on justice, one person at a time. Those founders found a symbol for their cause. ..........a pledge was created to underscore the foundational principles of our great country. That pledge ends with four words. The words may be simple, but they are profound. “And justice for all.” This Panel is firmly convinced justice for all has occurred in this case. It is also firmly convinced Respondents never intended the same.
