    DIAPERS FOR 15TH AMENDMENT PURPOSES

DO NOT THROW ASPERSIONS ON MY ASPARAGUS!

During the 2012 presidential election, voters reportedly waited on line for upwards of six hours. That wait alone is enough to deter would-be voters from going to the polls. But now residents in Florida’s most populous county will have another disincentive: they won’t be able to go to the bathroom.

Earlier this year, the Miami-Dade County Elections Department quietly implemented a policy to close the bathrooms at all polling facilities, according to disability rights lawyer Marc Dubin. Dubin said the policy change was in “direct response” to an inquiry to the Elections Department about whether they had assessed accessibility of polling place bathrooms to those with disabilities.

Look, the dems have done all they can do...or have they?

I wish to begin a new blog site that will accept donations to a new charitable site that would provide for those folks in the good Ole U S of A who care about voting.

I mean we would provide adult diapers for all those who wish to avoid the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune so to speak....or at least those who wish not to piss themselves in public so that they might take advantage of the 15th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.[1]

Now DeMint has other ideas as to why the 13th Amendment and the 14th Amendment and the 15th Amendment were ever passed.

Well the reason that the slaves were eventually freed was the Constitution, it was like the conscience of the American people. Unfortunately there were some court decisions like Dred Scott and others that defined some people as property, but the Constitution kept calling us back to ‘all men are created equal and we have inalienable rights’ in the minds of God. But a lot of the move to free the slaves came from the people, it did not come from the federal government.

It came from a growing movement among the people, particularly people of faith, that this was wrong. People like Wilberforce who persisted for years because of his faith and because of his love for people. So no liberal is going to win a debate that big government freed the slaves. In fact, it was Abraham Lincoln, the very first Republican, who took this on as a cause and a lot of it was based on a love in his heart that comes from God.

Let us set up our own donor program so that peeps might donate monies just to give our potential voters adult diapers!

    What do you think?

Hell, I cannot use my own savings account because I would be tempted to use that account to purchase underwear and such.

    Anyway, think about it!

I think I wrote about this theory several times?

TAKE A LOOK AT ONE OF THE KOCK BROS IN 1980

This persistent reversal—white men as victim, the “other” as undeservedly privileged—resounds through the rhetoric of the extreme Right. Take, for example, Pat Buchanan’s “A Brief for Whitey,” a response to candidate Barack Obama’s call for a national conversation about race in America: “It is the same old con, the same old shakedown. America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known."

Read this Salon article on southern supremacy sometime. You can find the time. I mean the Kock Bros would destroy all voting rights, remove all taxes and just have corporate pricks decide our lives without our input.

I was reminded of Lenin's hope for the new world order. The vanguard would implement all these rules and then all of a sudden, the vanguard and the government would dissolve magically.

And everyone would live happily ever after.

So all of a sudden, the capitalistic universe would dissolve and we would never need any taxes and people would find their place at 3 bucks an hour and everything would be just fine!

He also believes that Wayne was “an old-fashioned Christian gentleman.” In truth, Wayne was neither a Christian nor a gentleman. He was a heavy drinker and smoker, had numerous affairs, never went to church, and was bosom buddies with anti-Semitic louts such as Ward Bond. Wayne wasn’t a Christian gentleman any more than he was a war hero, he just played them in the movies.

I recall a speech from a liberal from Mississippi who said on C-SPAN:

So my 8th grade teacher lied to me.

He was tongue in cheek and he was attempting to tell us all that the lies we are told as children should just be shrugged off.

    I am mad at Wayne.

He and his producers and directors were nothing but goddamnable liars.

    Well, I said it.

I just cannot watch their movies anymore.

I got mad about age 16 and said, this is all bullshite. They all lied to us when we were children.

Read the essay on Wayne. It is interesting to say the least.

    Okay, enough of that.

The last thought I have on this nothingness has to do with one of those NEW WONDERFUL REPRESENTATIVES OF THE REPUBLICAN TEAPARTY:

    THE NEW REPUBLICAN PARTY

Discussing whether to pay the descendants of slaves, Mr. McDaniel said, “If they pass reparations, and my taxes are going up, I ain’t paying taxes.”

On Mexico: “Why don’t we all immigrate south, let’s go to Mexico…You know, a dollar bill can buy a mansion in Mexico. And I think we all get together, go down there, build us a studio for like 26 pesos, uh and you know, put on a radio show right there in Mexico. Live the rest of our lives there.” [...]

Mr. McDaniel then asked someone to translate, “Do you have a sister?” “What about mamacita?” he offered. “Mamacita works….I’m an English-speaking Anglo. I have no idea what it means, actually, but I’ve said it a few times, just for, you know, fun. And I think it basically means, ‘Hey, hot mama.’ Or, you know, ‘You’re a fine looking young thing.’

    WHAT TIME IS IT ANYWAY?

    Comments

I hope the Miami is embarrassed at all the attention this has gotten.  In my county they closed all the voting polls in my poor neighborhood that people could walk too.  They closed 30% of them in the county and all in poor neighborhoods.  They are doing real knit picky s**t to see if they can get the local Dems into court with lawsuits.  There are very strict building codes in Florida and Federal codes about toilets.  If not able to put and injunction on that.  Some group funding will rent porta potties and get permits for them.  Yup, stink up the polls. The people are very tired of this stuff in South Florida.

What they don't realize is that they are encouraging more people to help with GOTV.  Help older people get mail-in ballots.  Spend more time working the voter lines.  I can't wait to watch the old ladies in white gated communities clutch their purses when my neighbors show up to vote in their neighborhood polling. We are all going to be given new polling places that are too far to walk to and not on a bus line. Those brightly colored Haitian Church buses are going to worry them to death driving into their local polls. There is going to be medical marijuana on the ballot in November and that will bring out some real characters to vote.  It don't matter who you are if you are a Democrat there is a seat on a bus for you if you need a way. These churches worked hard at GOTV in this last election.  Most of these churches really like Charley Crist because he has made visits with most of the leaders.  They are going to have more early polling places this time that will help a lot and some of them are on bus routes in this county.  It will cost $2.50 in bus fees to go and vote.  That is a lot when you are very poor.

I stayed up and watched the moon tonight and it was really cool.  The clouds stayed a way until it went into full eclipse.

I am looking for a freezer apricot jam recipe for you that even you can make.

Here is some heavy reading for you from the UN.  It is a summery of the Global Warming Report.  We are going to be facing some real problems in the very near future.  http://report.mitigation2014.org/spm/ipcc_wg3_ar5_summary-for-policymakers_approved.pdf   It will really get you thinking.

Wing Nut World..."where Noah is treated as fact and NOAA makes stuff up."

The conservatives just do not wish to see the poor vote.

So we liberals have to step up and besides taking the guilty officials to task for their unconstitutional conduct in the courts and through the media, we need to provide the transportation necessary and provide porto potties if necessary.

All the cameras in the world would focus upon good attempts made to get out the vote on election day.

The idea of cameras focused on the people trying to prevent others from voting at the polls is a good idea. Showing the distances people have to travel  because of decreased polling places in areas targeted by the GOP would also be instructive.

Nevada Republicans are backing a guy who refuses to pay for grazing his cattle on US government land. The Nevada rancher in question does not believe in the right of the United States government to exist. Wisconsin Republicans are set to vote on secession.  The party has gone bonkers and no one in a position of power is even attempting to reign them in.

The conservative office holders are just too damn afraid to do anything, although Walker and others have come out against secession recently.

It is not enough to just label hundreds of thousands of people 'nuts'.

The far right is scary and powerful, and its members must be challenged continuously.

I don't think they are that afraid of the GOP but letting them have enough rope to hang themselves.  It is to get the occasional liberal voter angry enough to show up at the poles.

Gee...What will the dairy industry think will happen to their cheese if they succeed.  They will have to throw it over the wall that Walker will build in order to sell it in the middle of the night.

I mean there is a point where "stupid" just gets to be too embarrassing and wasteful. The national press cartoonist should be having a good time thinking up cartoons on that one. Cheeseheads protesting in Madison because the Packards can't be part of the NFL anymore.   Cheeseheads pouring over the boarders into camps as refugees. Cheeseheads in boats smuggling cheese and Old Milwaukee Beer to the Chicago Pier in the middle of the night.

(Nitpicking here) I know very little about sports, but after mistakenly thinking there was a Canadian team in the NFL, I found that although this is not true, there are Canadian teams in baseball's American League, the NBA, and of course the NHL. Furthermore, the reason given for there not being a Canadian team in the NFL is the existence of Canadian Football, so if Wisconsin were to secede, I suspect the Packers could still play for the NFL. Now, I'm not suggesting it would be a good thing for them to secede, but I'm also not sure it'd be a bad thing… wink

I never thought of this. hahahahhahahaha

It is a good point! hahahah

I hereby render unto the Atheist the Dayly Comment of the Day Award for this here Dagblog Site, given to all of VA from all of me.

    hahahahah

Should we lose all the booze manufactured from the Canuks too?

    hahahahahah

Also Canadian Football is like...is like...where the hell is the CFL on my cable anyway?

Here is a brief history of GOP voter suppression efforts. Republicans feel that Nixon was robbed and point to voter fraud as the cause. Review of the data found that there was fraud in Cook County, but not enough to change to state outcome. Republicans were simultaneously committing voter fraud in Southern Illinois. Edmund Kallina's "Kennedy v. Nixon" provides an excellent review of the election in Illinois and Texas, the two most controversial states.

Additionally, the review pushed Hawaii from Nixon's column to Kennedy's.

I forgot about this, I responded to your other comment.

    But damn, this is interesting.

With the three national channels I received on my B&W set with rabbit ears so many decades ago, I have a memory of this 'Illinois' debacle as a little kid.

It was like my past readings of Boss Tweed in NYC.

So I guess the repubs are sitting in their 'intelligentsia' quarters going:

Gee whiz, we could lose every single election if we let voters decide!

    hahahha

What surprises me is that Kennedy stole Illinois is remembered, but the fact that Democratic votes were found floating in a Southern Illinois river after the election is never mentioned.

Republicans remember Bork and use it as a rationale for obstructing every SCOTUS appointee made by a Democratic President. Senate Democrats let Roberts, Alito, etc go to a vote.

    edit to add

We don't hold up Lani Guinier as a reason to obstruct GOP appointees from getting a vote
