FUNNY & GUILELESS
Saline County Commissioner Jim Gile (R) used the term "nigger-rigging" during a commission discussion April 2 about hiring an architect to work on a county building, the Salina Journal reported on Saturday. Gile apologized for the comments, but residents called for his resignation during a commission meeting Tuesday afternoon...
"I am not a prejudiced person," Gile told the Salina Journal. "I have built Habitat homes for colored people."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/09/jim-gile-kansas_n_3045720.html?ref=topbar
There are other punch lines, believe it or not, to this story. See also:
http://www.salina.com/news/Gile2013-04-06T04-27-33
Gile is a county commissioner in Kansas and apparently did not know that at this session of hearings some one would record the goings on; because he later told a reporter that he said: Afro-Americanized. Hahahaa
But I mean actually using the 'n' word and then following it up with 'colored people'; how often do you hear something like this so many years after the death of Lester Maddox? Of course we still have the NAACP (That's not the basketball thingy, is it?)
Okay, so then Gile does an about-face and claims he meant jury-rigged.
Then he claimed that one of his best friends is Black. HahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Then he claims he either gave money to some Black Cause or he donated his time or....
But the biggest story here is that many of the people and officials present at this county commissioner session laughed loudly at Gile's 'comment'.
I cannot help myself though.
I laughed all the way through both these articles.
All I could think of was what Gile (hell of a name, huh? I mean a guy totally devoid of guile?) calls Brazil Nuts. Hahaha
I don't know why I laugh at some official slandering an entire race; maybe it is because there is a total lack of guile.
Here, to demonstrate how twisted I really am, look at this:
The Montana Republican Party showcased a bullet-ridden outhouse described as the "Obama Presidential Library" at their state convention over the weekend...
Inside the outhouse contained a fake birth certificate for Barack Hussein Obama, according to the Helena Independent Record.
It was stamped “Bull——.” A graffito advised “For a Good Time call 800-Michelle (crossed out), Hillary (crossed out) and Pelosi (circled in red.)”http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/18/montana-republican-convention-obama-outhouse_n_1605567.html
I forgot all about this fiasco and I could not stop laughing, again!
Then there is this gem from some speaker at an Arkansas Tea Party get together that she used as an ice-breaker to get her audience warmed up:
“A black kid asks his mom, ‘Mama, what’s a democracy?’
“‘Well, son, that be when white folks work every day so us po’ folks can get all our benefits.’
“‘They sho do, son. They sho do. And that’s called racism.’”
“‘But mama, don’t the white folk get mad about that?’
SOUTH CAROLINA LAWMAKER
COLUMBIA, S.C. — A South Carolina lawmaker on Thursday called a Republican gubernatorial candidate of Indian descent a "raghead," saying we have one in the White House, we don't need one in the governor's mansion.
Republican state Sen. Jake Knotts later apologized for the slur, saying the remarks about President Barack Obama and state Rep. Nikki Haley were meant as a joke.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/04/jake-knotts-raghead-remar_n_600238.html
Now tell me that you can refrain from laughing at that line. I mean 'we already have one in the WH and we don't need another one in the governor's mansion'. I mean that is funny and racist and stupid.
Maybe this statement is funnier because Jake the Jack-Ass was attacking another conservative prick in addition to the President of the United States of America!
There is a stupid Jim Carrey movie where the lead character is forced to tell the truth at all times.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liar_Liar
The twist is that Jim's character is an attorney.
Now all of my examples are truly and overtly racist, in my humble opinion.
But Gile, in actually using the 'n' word is the funniest.
I would add that many Blacks use the 'n' word all the time on TV and in film. And I am not going to go 'there' right now.
Compare this kind of overt racist repertoire with the stuff coming out of Nugent's mouth:
Mitt Romney surrogate and entertainer-turned-conservative-activist Ted Nugent cranked his political volume knob back up this week, penning an op-ed suggesting the Supreme Court's decision on Obamacare served as evidence that the United States would have been better off if "the South won the Civil War."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/06/ted-nugent-civil-war-south-obamacare_n_1654524.html
This type of rhetoric is not as funny to me; not funny at all actually.
What does Obamacare have to do with the Civil War anyway?
Oh who cares?
Apartheid isn`t that cut and dry. All men are not created equal. The
preponderance of South Africa is a different breed of man. I mean that with
no disrespect. I say that with great respect. I love them because I`m one of
them. They are still people of the earth, but they are different. They still
put bones in their noses, they still walk around naked, they wipe their
butts with their hands These are different people. You give `em
toothpaste, they fucking eat it ... I hope they don`t become civilized.
They`re way ahead of the game
I mean no disrespect?
Well thank you Dom Irrara, thank you very much.
I don't mean that in a bad way!
What is the definition of 'overt racism' anyway?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h5kg5f8Im0
I can't help myself sometimes.
Bill Burr is funny and I do not feel that he is racist at all.
I cannot say the same thing about Nugent or beckerhead or rusho or half of all the repubs in Congress!
That's all I got.
Well, almost:
White America was unified, says Bill O'Reilly:

The guy making $100 million to throw a ball put in years of work with no guarantees, and undoubtedly has talent. He still earns that pay every time he steps on the mound.
The guy making $1 billion to drive the economy into the ground likely has no morals, and mostly connections and bad intents. No stadium full of 50,000 fans ever rooted for him. What skill did it take to pool a bunch of people's money together, go buy a company, and strip it of all its assets?
Don't want a class warfare zone - want moral capitalism with moral safety nets.

I put in thousands of hours with no guarantees and there are millions upon millions of folks out there who put in thousands of hours with no guarantees.
Socialism forever.

Hypocrisy thy name is racist right wing blowhards!
They, their mindset, racist fantasies and delusions are always there!
Richard, did you know this little tidbit of Civil War history:
The Congress of the Confederate States of America approved a plan to free the slaves if they would fight to save the white asses of their former owners.....an Act passed on March 23, 1865?
Reality at last penetrated their thick racist skulls, but too late. The war ended a couple weeks later.
by NCD on Thu, 04/11/2013 - 1:58pm
That is an interesting footnote NCD!
I was also thinking that if the North would have just come home and given up the Dred Scott Decision would have gone down in flames!
I mean the issue in that case involved spreading slavery into the Territories.
The Confederates would have been prevented from taking their slaves out of the CSA!

We expect GOP members to talk about "wetbacks" and "niggers". What is even more aggravating is when a supercilious prick like Rand Paul goes to Howard University and thinks that he has a knowledge base that permits him to lecture Black college students on Black history.
Senator Paul asked the students if they would be surprised that they NAACP had been formed by Republicans. The students were not surprised by this non- revelation. Rand was obviously stunned by the fact that the students knew about the strides made by the Republican Party of the past.
Paul then stated to tell the students about the Black Republican Senator from Massachusetts....., but Paul forgot the name. The students in the audience provide the name, "Edward Brooke".
There are tons of White people who can educate Black people on history. A prick like Republican Rand Paul, too lazy to even check the name of the Black Senator from Massachusetts, is not one of them.
Paul lied about his support of the Civil Rights Act, a bill whose "intrusion into private property issues." Rand opposed.
How do you know a Republican is lying? The mouth is moving.

I had no idea Curly Rand could be so entertaining.
I did not catch but a few seconds on that speech during the news.
I had no idea he was this stupid!
Thanks
by Richard Day on Fri, 04/12/2013 - 12:25am
Yup! He is stupid. Keep in mind that the yearly C-pac convention is "the Star Wars bar scene," in the world of politics. Curly Rand was the headlining act on the marquee this year.

I think you find this interesting report on Rand's speech at Howard University. http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal-a/2013_04/rand_pauls_revisionist_history044099.php

The idea that blacks should vote for republicans because Lincoln freed the slaves is as stupid as saying conservatives should vote for democrats because Lincoln first imposed the income tax thereby proving republicans are the party of higher taxes.
by ocean-kat on Fri, 04/12/2013 - 4:44am
LOL
Just letting you know that I plan to bring the up to a Conservative at work. It's a great response.
Michael Steele seems really frustrated with the lazy arguments the Rand Paul's of the world are making about the GOP and race. The GOP actively encourages voter suppression. In effect, the GOP does the work of the Democrats on issues of race for the Democratic Party. Blacks do not want to belong to a party where they would encounter Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulters, Sarah Palins and Rand Paul's. Allen West , Alan Keyes, Herman Cain and Clarence Thomas would face similar rejection.
there is a stench associated with the modern GOP and the Republicans refuse to take a shower and use deodorant.
by rmrd0000 on Fri, 04/12/2013 - 8:54am
The whole purpose of this pre 1960 history of republicans fighting for Black rights from Lincoln to black republicans starting the NAACP and the democratic KKK is to allow white republicans to tell themselves the lie that for the last 60 years the republican party hasn't become the party of racism and the lie that today it doesn't have the stain of racism running though it.
Its how they hide the truth from themselves. What blows me away is that Rand Paul thought this selective version of history would actually play with black college students who know the both the pre 60's and the post 60's history. Amazing he could be that stupid.
by ocean-kat on Fri, 04/12/2013 - 1:22pm
Your last line is so precious, I just know I am going to steal it many times in the future. hahaahahah
I will promise to include an rmrd of course. hahahaha
by Richard Day on Fri, 04/12/2013 - 4:33pm
Thx Richard
I have a feeling that Melissa Harris-Perry will have something to say about Randy's condescension towards the students and faculty of Howard. University. Paul cannot talk to the students and faculty about history or academics. The ophthalmologist is not certified by the recognized credentialing organization for his specialty. Randy created his own organization.
If a graduate of Howard's Medical School attempted a similar dodge, they would be called unqualified. The likelihood that a Howard trained ophthalmologist with Rand's credential could get hospital privileges is doubtful.
