    I Have Returned: Sayeth Joe Wood

    Formerly to TPMcafe as Joseph Wood

    Like Lazarus arising from the dead, I have come out from my obscure hole to once again grace your pastures.  How much has changed since we last met.

    As I predicted back in 2006, Obama is our President.  That has to be No. 1.

    What is more surprising?  I voted for him.

    The once and future strong willed conservative mad-dog defender of W. and Iraq, American Exceptionalism, and yes--Karl Rove, has seen the light, had an epiphanous moment, from which never to return.

    I was considered, if at all, a nuisance--like a neighbor who plays music too loud; the music you hate to hear.  Some thought me an imposter, or maybe a lapsed liberal in disguise.  Hmm...

    Well, needless to say, now we can all enjoy the music.  It is still "The Regionalist Perspective"--however I have walked a few miles in the meantime.

    Oh yes, I now regard my comrades as among the likes of Rachel Maddow, Eugene Robinson, and yes--the Keith Olbermann's of the world.  Take that, twist of irony!

    Anyway, maybe you have all forgotten the "old" me (Joseph Wood).  Perhaps one might be inclined to read the 2006 TPM archive of "Joseph Wood" blogs, now collecting dust, forlorn and abandoned to the oblivion of history.

    (hint... hint....   clearing throat.)

    Yes, I am back with a new twist, the kind you like to hate, only now the hate must be replaced with something more bitter;

    AWE.
