Some of the information herein is recycled from last year's article....seems fitting in context.
A year ago I wrote a blog, somewhat in disagreement with A-man's assertion that Mitt Romney's religion would be an impediment to winning the Republican nomination or the presidency. It's important to remember that the NeoCons never left the building. And Mitt, ladies and gentlemen, is their man. So get ready for the Koch surge. This week's highlights:
Jury's still out on the presidency, but for the moment it looks as though Mormon is the New Catholic, and as I pointed out last year, Shitty is still the New Fair in Republican Land.
Now that Mormonism has been removed from the Christian "cult" list (see Billy Graham) Americans can breathe a sigh of relief and agree that "Biblical Values" and by Biblical values Republicans mean as old-testament as possible, and trickle-down are what's best for the giant yet tiny American government that the Koch brothers tell us we can all look forward to once Hurricane Sandy finishes destroying the East coast. Fema? Is that short for female or something?
During this last week, we should not underestimate the sheer power of massive amounts of money to help Americans learn to like and trust Mitt Romney, and with America glued to the tube this week, there will be lots of opportunities for ad buys, with vastly increased bang for the buck because of increased viewers/time on tube. It'll be nauseating, it will have no connection with historical fact or economic reality (facts, after all, can be checked, so it's better to just not use 'em,) and it will be incredibly effective at helping out the Mittster. Mitt Romney's American Jesus has a couple million jobs in his pocket (courtesy of Barack Obama's recovery) and you might just get one of them if only you'll vote him into office. He'll be nice, really, and not at all like that other super-right wing guy who won the primary. And if there's a guy out there who can get us all our money and jobs back by screwing the Chinese, it's gotta be a genial vulture capitalist like Mitt!
See, the reality is that it IS time to get down to the business of releasing some of the capital that the Lucrescenti's been hoarding, and drop it back into the economy to create some jobs and change things up a bit. But the big boys are not going to release that capital to an African American Democrat. Why would they? It'll just make the rest of 'em all demanding and uppity.
Seriously. HUGE amounts of money this week. Which must be countered at every turn with the information that while Mitt Romney is running ads and making shit up, our President is running the country. OUR country. Managing OUR tax money, which Mitt and his friends spend ridiculous amounts of time trying not to pay, so that if a hurricane levels our city, rescuers can get to us a little bit faster than Brownie got 'em out to New Orleans.

It really does seem as if the Roman Catholic Church through its dogma has attracted other Christian Sects in a manner I never would have predicted.
This is just nuts; and as time goes on this alliance between all of these sects seems even more nuts.
These sects used to be anti-Papal for chrissakes. hahahahahah
But then again, many political developments have bamboozled me over the years.
How Mitt ever reached this level is a question that is just beyond my meager talents to ever answer.
But here he is, and here am I and all I can do is pray that he never reaches the Oval Office!

Yeah, who knew that the Catholic Church wouldn't just empty out like a bad sieve.
But I guess they clung so resolutely to their traditional assholiness that they ended up getting the attention and support of other assholies.
I am really on a tear with this swearing in print thing lately.

Most organized religious groups are based on man's quest for manipulation and absolute power.
IMO the two 'organized groups' you cite are perfect examples of this.
I could go on and on, but it's late, I'm tired .....basically just wanted to say this is a terrific post and hope you will expand on this, please. It's important and needed IMO.
