There are many evils in this world, the fact is that we are not always confronted by these evils--mostly because we wish to ignore these evils.
Lately the subject of ‘anchor babies’ has been discussed; every hour of every day; and every day of the week.
This subject has arisen many times before, but Trump has appeared on the horizon as a beacon shining light upon this subject.
Trump would locate and exile all 11 million ‘illegal immigrants’.
Trump would send troops, thousands and thousands of troops to our Southern Border to prevent further illegal immigration whilst building a wall that would shame the Chinese (whom he does not really like anyway).
But Trump would also trample upon rights contained in the single greatest Constitutional Amendment ever written--The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
And Trump would ‘amend’ the terms of this Amendment without a Constitutional Amending process.
It appears that Trump would just do this all by Executive Order or with a Majority Vote of both Houses of Congress?
Forget the hundreds of billions of dollars involved in building the Great Wall of America. Forget the hundreds of billions of dollars involved in ‘rounding up’ the barbarous hordes of ‘illegals’.
What we are really facing is the destruction of Constitutional Government.
It took more than 70 or 80 years following the ratification of the 14th Amendment before our Supreme Court began to recognize that through the 14th Amendment, our Bill of Rights applied to State Action besides Federal Action.
In other words, prior to the 14th Amendment, States were free to deny US Citizens freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion and freedom from religion.
Of course our Federal Government refused to recognize the rights contained in the Bill of Rights going back to the John Adams Administration per the Alien and Sedition Acts which we now call the PATRIOT ACT.
But theoretically anyway, the Bill of Rights today apply to all of our citizens and this theory is used everyday by those dirty rotten defense attorneys attempting to procure a fair trial for their clients.
There is an argument of course, that the 13 Amendment to the United States Constitution is OUR most important Constitutional Amendment.
Yet around the same time that the Emancipation Proclamation (the precursor to the 13th Amendment) was issued, the Tsar of Russia ‘freed the serfs’. Of course the serfs received no real rights until the October Revolution of 1917 and these serfs discovered that they still had NO GODDAMN RIGHTS. hahahahahah
Today, we as a nation imprison more Blacks than there were Black Americans at the time that the Emancipation Proclamation was ratified.
And there might be the argument that the 15th Amendment was our greatest statement of citizenship the world had ever seen!
And yet, a score of states or more deny the right to vote to ex-felons. The number of Black ex-felons also outnumber the number of slaves in this country at the time of the ratification of the 15th Amendment.
Back to Jan Mickelson, a radio personality I never heard of.
Besides destroying rights contained in the 14th Amendment, good old Jan would make all ‘illegal immigrants’ slaves, putting all these new slaves into forced labor camps
Now, just to underline what I have already written, we put our prisoners into forced labor camps all the time. hahahaha
At any rate this bastard would abolish the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to the United States Constitution.
As the Mediamatters link indicates, not only is Ted Cruz appearing on this ogre's radio show, other repubs have flocked to Jan's radio show prior to Ted's appearance.
WE ARE IN A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS PEOPLE.
Comments
Republicans believe the Constitution gives them the right to deny rights and freedoms to whomever they please, whenever, wherever and however they please to do so.
The forgiving Republican God, the MSM and the Constitution, also give them the right to get by with all sorts of blatant hypocrisy, lies, illicit affairs, warmongering, mismanagement, partisan chicanery, ideological malarkey that if done by Democrats would result in impeachment, TV 24/7 pillory, banishment from the public sphere and/or imprisonment.

I apologize for this wordy mess. How you got thru it is beyond me. This is the third time I attempted to respond. I cannot paragraph, I cannot edit, I cannot add pix or a song. But I have never really seen an assault--a credible assault--upon our Constitution that I have witnessed over the last month or so. Thank you for responding to my message and not my mess. ha

Hey, don't apologize, I thought it read o.k.
As I mentioned, I'm having trouble paragraphing and haven't tried a long piece yet with the new Windows 10.

THIS IS SOOOOOOOO VERY KIND OF YOU, I CANNOT EVEN EXPRESS MY APPRECIATION. THANK YOU.

Go to edit your post and look at what Michael did. He used the html code for paragraphs. I had the same problem with my first post here, and he did the same "magic" for me. Since then, since it's still necessary on my android phone, I've done it myself every time!

Yeah, I've got to look into the android issue

T-Rump-Ex is changing hearts all across the spectrum and do doubt he will be able to achieve his mission to amend the constitution eliminating 13, 14, & 15. By building a coalition with people who want a constitutional amendment banishing corporate person-hood to the state-level he can mold sentiment and form a consensus to do two things at once. And eliminating person-hood would negate Citizens' United, the beauty of which is that T-Rump doesn't need PAC money because he is so rich.
Trump just stimulates the bullshit, you know?

Again, thank you for responding to this message and not this mess. We are in a big mess with regards to our Constitution. I have attempted to use Firefox and E and Chrome and nothing works. I cannot edit. Why you would bother to read a mess like this....;hahahahah I am really really feeling bad. Thank you for somehow gleaming my message as they say.

Dick, our friend is going to contact you about your word processing problems - check your email. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Now, about this post of yours. Maybe it's the lack of songs or pictures, maybe it's because writing it was an exercise in formatting frustration ... but whatever the reason it's one of your best. Thank you.

OH MISSY I GET SO DAMNED DOWN SOMETIMES! Thank you for this. Especially when I I am so damned hott about a subject such as this. And Mike W saved my ass. hahahah Thank you.

It is an issue that should concern everyone ... aren't the Republicans the ones with little Constitution pamphlets in their pockets? It's just not funny anymore. Well, unless you're a supporter of Deez Nuts. Watch out Donald!

Richard, A dagblog fairy godfather also fixed my last blog for the front page. We are all in various stages of transition with microsoft.
Your tech mechanic wants to look under your hood on your computer again.
We went to the school last evening and picked up Joey's schedule. The computer gods were smiling on me tonight. They included in his packet a code and pass word for office 365. I don't have to buy it for the year. {doing an end zone dance} See... sometimes whining and complaining helps.

Trump is just a big gas bag. He is getting lots of air time because he is willing to say anything to be stage center. Jan Mickelson is also a am radio talker gas bag. No one in this country even knows who he is until he decided it is ok to make immigrants with out documents slaves. Huffpo turned it into click bait otherwise we would not known what this guy rants about.
Pew came out with their pole that they do about the approval rate of each party. Democratic Party usually has the highest rate and there is a gap between them and Republicans. After the 2014 election that gap disappeared. Now it is back and is the widest it has ever been with Democrats having the highest rating since 1992. Republican Party has the lowest ratings since 1992. I didn't save the link to this the other day when I read it following a link from Facebook. It is a pole that they have been tracking for years. It is a good reference for historians and political science research.
The RNC is upset about the pole results and is blaming Trump for it. I don't see much parallel with Trump and Perot unless Trump runs third party. Trump is not a cause but a symptom of extreme off the rails politics. Another words he is the dark mirror of the Koch Bros. Cult.
The ugliness of the positions that these members of the cult and the direct way they are now expressing that has everything to do with drop in approval ratings of the GOP. Also people are really feeling the pain of some of the Draconian cuts and laws that this cult has manage to impose on citizens.
It looks like the crisis is really in the GOP itself. GOP failed to deliver on removing Obama and has become desperate and shrill.

This was a nice post! Really!
The issue(s) contained in this post resonate right now!
This Trump sombitch could well be on his way to stardom as well as Presidential dom.
What the hell can be done about all of this?
Well, 15 months later, we must vote in November of 2016.
We shall see what transpires in the next 8 months!
Let us all say a little prayer for you and for us?
