As per your title, I recall he tends to like to follow "intriguing" stories of exactly this kind, like oh say, the Senator Larry Craig story

I'm less worried about Larry Craig except as an example of liberal hypocrisy - support LGBT+ except where their politics differ, then they're free game. I don't get the vice squad thing in 2019 - if people want to cruise, let them, as long as no threat to kids, general public health. "Wide stance" was funny as a term, but really, who did he harm? It seems a safe selective signaling paradigm. As for Falwell, yes, he's running a billion dollar org dedicated to discouraging these freedoms plus backing/enablung a criminal traitor as president - this is in the "public's need to know" category, like a dangerous pharmaceutical that's being covered up or simply mass dangerous fraud.
