I think the biggest stories of 2013 relate to energy.
Over the last four or five or six years, some things have changed dramatically.
Forget politics for a sec; capitalists decided that wind energy and sun energy became profitable enterprises, and this Administration has provided the tax credits and income tax provisions that add to this new substantial contribution to the national energy grid.
Fracking is here to stay. Fracking is providing natural gas and oil in amounts not predicted ten or fifteen years ago.
There are pollution issues regarding the air and the water.
People will suffer.
But damn, look at 1973 sometime and recall that in this new century we really went into Iraq 'for oil". *
But our Media (whateverthefrickthatmeans) contends that there are other lists more important.
THERE ARE ALL THESE LISTS
FOX NEWS WORST MOMENTS
WHAT DAVID WEIGEL GOT WRONG IN 2013 (AT LEAST!)
THE WORST FAILURES OF 2013

#2 744 ATTEMPTS AT DESTROYING OBAMA CARE BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
#1 TARGET HANDS OVER 40 MILLION CREDIT CARDS TO CROOKS

WORST BLOGGERS (PRETENDING TO BE JOURNALISTS) IN THE WORLD
Just go ahead and read Alex Perine on this issue.
Alex swears more than I do—at least since I found Jesus as my Personal Savior and such. But he has clarity at times.
I really cannot do better than Alex with regard to this subject and since he made Mike Allen from Politico the number one arsehole on tv or the blogs; it is not up for me to disagree with his assessment. Although it does come to me that Mr. Allen should find a good optometrist or at least some good eye drops to enhance his fraudulent appearances on Mornin Joke as he stares into the camera like some manikin in the window of some department store! Oh and Allen always performs this act with a smirk on his face; like he knows something we do not and yet, we know this idiot does not know anything to begin with so how in the hell could he be holding something back...

WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD (2013)
This prize goes to Louis Gohmert.
I detest this man over everybody I can think of right now. Trump is a tramp. Cruz is phonier than a three dollar bill. Duck Soup folks were once frat brothers at some elite university. Steve King is just a prick and has always been a prick and will die a prick. Politico would not know what the truth was if it bit it in the butt. Rand Paul even refutes his entire ethos along with his father's ethos in order to gather further support for his impossible political aims. FOX is Fox and will always attempt to fox anybody that is not a member of its corporate whorehouse. So we are left with a caricature of a human being who embodies every single thing I hate about America today. And that is
LOUIS GOHMERT
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) compared same-sex marriage to bestiality while speaking about gun laws in a conference call with Tea Party Unity, according to an audio tape that surfaced earlier this tweek.
Matt Finkelstein at Media Matters Action notes that Rep. Bill Posey’s (R-FL) “birther bill” hasgained its 10th Republican cosponsor: Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX). “Notably, Rep. Gohmert hasn’t issued a press release announcing his sponsorship, so it seems he doesn’t want to advertise his move toward the fringe,” Finkelstein adds. Gohmert seems to be a fan of Obama conspiracy theories and recently went on the radio show of Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
SPOONS DON'T KILL PEOPLE... (I guess I lost my thought)
1. Spoons: Following the Navy Yard massacre in Washington, D.C. this week, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said guns shouldn’t be blamed for the 12 lives lost. Rather, “Blaming this on guns is like saying the big problem with obesity is we’ve got too many spoons,” he said. He isn’t the first congressman to compare guns and shootings to spoons and obesity. Rep. Lou Barletta (R-PA) quipped, “Would banning spoons stop obesity?” in a discussion about the Newtown massacre of 20 children.
Farenthold joins a “handful of Republicans [who] have already announced their desire to impeach Obama for various reasons, including Reps. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Steve Stockman (R-TX), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Trey Radel (R-FL), Trent Franks (R-AZ), Tim Walberg (R-MI), Lamar Smith (R-TX), Michael Burgess (R-TX), Steve King (R-IA), and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC).”

But there really were magnificent blogs written about the issues concerning energy consumption and production over the last year that knocked my socks off. Really!

I did not know I would end up on the front page--it has to be five months or something. And this is not the high time for front pages on this site.
Anyway, we have reached or breached a brand new era in this country and I do not think that this new era has been properly documented on cable or the new blogoshphere.
You might find the info on the internet.
THIS IS A BIG DEAL.
Water and air are being contaminated but these links (as well as hundreds that I have not properly documented) have indicated a brand new and brave new world.
People will find more ways to light their taps on fire; people will die of environmental causes; people will receive fifty thousand and a hundred thousand a year in wages that were previously unavailable; North Dakota and Texas will reap billions of dollars....
I am not 'valuating here'.
This new energy emergence has changed our universe.
And when I say that we could not predict this new era fifteen years ago I should have said that we could never predict this new 'era' just five years ago.
I am an old man, but this is a new era and I think Congress misses the entire point!
the end
BACK TO GOHMERT!
That is all I can take.
I hate Louis Gohmert more than Satan and The Grinch and FOX News and O'Reilly and....
I mean I just hate this guy.
He seems to be a mixture of Duck Soup and Trump and those Alligator guys, and all the repub leaders and rush and a thousand other people who appear on our media.
I must confront this hatred somehow and yet, every single time this arsehole opens his mouth, I become even more irate.
So I must find a better manner in which to react to the world.
I must find some sympathy for the Devil

The top of my list of the Worst Persons in the World is Governor Skelator. People are going to die in this state, 2014, unnecessary because he refused Medicaid extension. May his soul rot in hell with all the other GOP squirrels in Tallahassee state house.

Oh my reply never took, as they say.
The Florida Governor is one of the worst human beings in office I have witnessed over the past year (s) and I have come to the conclusion that he has no idea what in the hell is doing.
He is a hundred millionaire or a billionaire who was going to change the world and he just became lost. He appears to me to be a failure and I think he will be punished in this world. hahahah
From what I read, most Floridians just hate the guy.
If he came up with another hundred mill could he win the next election?
You tell me.
I assume his backers are made up of all those millionaires who retire down there?
Cuccinelli in Virginia actually knew what he was attempting to do, he made clear what he was attempting to do and basically lost to a Dem hack. A Dem hack whom I actually like. hahahah

Scott can't buy his way into a second term. I am not even worried about him winning. He is so incompetent. He spent mostly his money in the last election. I don't know if he has much support except from the Koch Bros. Crist was pursued by the Democrats to run. He really would like to be in the Senate. I think many of the millionaires that have retired here is quietly supporting Crist because he leans right of center. He has some big donors. He did a lot of clean up after Jeb. Jeb put many changes in that failed. So people know what they are getting with Crist. Crist will hold back the bat crap crazies in the state house and maintain the state so it can function. He will also protect the public employees of the state from further eroding their pay and benefits. He has already proved that in his last term.
We are expecting the State Supreme Court to redraw the districts to comply with the state constitution on fair districting. The case has moved in the favor of the League of Women Voters and other groups that went after gerrymandering. This will unpack all the democrats out of a few districts and we will pick up another Congressional House seat in FL-10. Where it will really matter is in the state house. This was a constitutional amendment that past a couple of cycles ago by a wide 60+% margin.
Democrats because of south end of the state should do well in state wide offices. We do have some good people running. We also now have all the major cities with Democratic Mayors. The Cuban populations that was solid Republican has shrunk because they have aged out and younger ones don't hold the same hate towards Cuba and Democrats. Also many have moved to other parts of the country over the years. The Republicans now know that they can't rely on them anymore in Miami to pull them through an election even for a national one.
Florida has a good grass roots machine for the Democrats. There is now 5 groups that meet regularly every month in my area. There maybe more liberal community groups that don't fly the Democrat Party flag that work with the poor that I don't know about who support elections. We also have some service employee unions in the area that are active on the local level.
Florida Democrats should gain some ground in this next election if things stay as they are right now. It is still early.
