My favorite part is he doesn't believe the polls showing Republicans in the toilet as far as responsibility for this shut down and soon to be economic debacle.

He is such a nasty hateful old man. I used to turn him off my TV for years. I am glad that I don't see him much on TV anymore. I am sure he won't like it when he loses money as the economy crashes.

The real problem is that there are no moderate Republicans to keep the GOP from going over the edge. Buchanan gleefully admits that he wants to destroy the country. Michelle Bachmann is even worse because she has gotten a message from God that we are in the end times. Her mistaken belief makes her unconcerned about any harm being done to the public. She is as fanatical as the terrorists who create havoc secure in the knowledge that God (Allah) will sort out the just from the unjust after death. Lindsey Graham realizes that the GOP has gone crazy, but blames the Democrats for making the GOP even crazier by not giving in to extortion. Susan Collins, the "rational one", wants Democrats to give in to extortion just like Graham. Her plan locked in sequestration level spending as a reward to the. GOP for ending extortion. There is one one same enough to be able to create a rational dialog with the GOP. There is no big difference between Buchanan, Bachmann, Graham and Collins they all want to be rewarded for threatening the people of the United States and the country's credit rating.
They are all Ted Cruz.

Perhaps Dr. Keith Ablow the distinguished Fox News persona should give us the differential diagnosis on Buchanan when he goes on to say, in his article, about how the Republicans are in a biblical fight worthy of destroying the nation, and blathers on about his youthful glory days and their mission from God:
and this:
See, Republicans just like to blow things up...girls, a church, the economy, the government, the civilized world.
The bright spot on Pat - at least Buchanan is no longer talking about starting a nuclear war, he's just a tad nostalgic about missing out on one in the early 60's. Why is this guy not in some retirement home babbling his nonsense to a coterie of seniors who pray he will fall down the stairs breaking his jaw?

At least George Will had the good sense to move to a retirement home where he's just babbling his nonsense to a coterie of seniors. He moved to Fox.

The quote is so appropriate: "Old Republicans never die, they get a gig on Fox News".

I used to write more about Pat than even Rush.
I mean the guy wrote a couple of books explaining why we never should have gone to war against Germany and why Hitler was a hero. hahahahah
Then I would watch him defend his stance.
At least the guy is consistent.
He would muse blissfully about the old days in DC when Blacks had their community and whites had their community and everybody was happy until those commie symps riled everybody into chaos. hahaha
He would defend segregation and Jim Crow with no mincing of words.
Buchanan really is an old time fascist/racist prick.
And I know folks out there think that labeling someone as a fascist is stupid.
But Buchanan is really a fascist/racist and he is proud of it!
He does not even make me angry anymore.
To me anyway, Pat Buchanan is hilarious.
