What?!? This is crazy. Here's an MSNBC link of the same story. Naturally, it's almost identical as it's an AP source.

Yea! Space drones!
I can think of several practical applications for them chief among them would be replacing unrecoverable satellites with recoverable ones. If they can also be used to collect existing space junk, even better.

Glad to see someone with old-fashioned positive spirit about this. That our gummint could still be doing "the right stuff."
When I saw the story, though, must admit the first thing I thought about is that there must be tons of internet discussions somewhere making this the new conspiracizing hit of the recent past. And not just about spying. You could file this under alien abduction research if you wanted. Or you could got the way of the fruition of the Trilateral Commission's plan back in the 70's.....etc.

I always wonder how many store loyalty cards people who fret over government surveillance have on their key rings. ;D

As the kids say...."da fuque?"
Query: Why is this a "plane" and not a "landable satellite"? (Come to think, I guess that describes the shuttle...)
