Yes it is a BFD.  I can now go ahead and make lot rent.  I thought it would be a good idea to hang on to it until I saw if we were going to default.  I would need food money for the kids if I didn't get SS next week.  I will have to pay late charges but that is OK.  

I did learn a lot about my local House districts, out side right wing groups and the limitations of gerrymandering the last few weeks.  I spent time in Wiki researching the history of the right wing groups and the rich people who support them.  

Nate Silver is preoccupied getting settled at ESPN so I made some visits to Dr Sam Wang's web page.  He insisted that something is going on with the poling.  That there has been a shift of the paradigm of voters because of the deep drop of numbers in the support of the Republican party.  He also said  that there is still many questions that time will answer.  How big will that shift remain for the election 2014?  He pointed out that the gerrymandering in states like FL, PA, OH and NC. had spread their Republican votes thinly depending on independents to vote with them to max out the amount of seats they could hold.  That all the poling showed that they had lost independent voter.These safe red districts are now in play until poling shows other wise. Now we will have another round of this in January, so we will see how they behave this time.  

Amanda Murphy won a state house seat yesterday in a district just north of Tampa Tuesday replacing a Republican held seat with a Democrat.  According to the local media she carried 20% of the Republican/independent vote to win this seat.  The RW nut had spent 3 times the money she had that came from out side the district.   That was a gerrymandered state house district 36.  I know there was a good ground game with teams from Tampa and USF.  The turn out was higher then normal for a special election.
