Singin' the Blues on a Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

    Slouched in a corner,
of a dingy juke joint, a
    young man learns the blues.

A Wind-Swept Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

Here's this week's heap of haikus:

    He buried his fear
in the pleats of mother's skirt.
( ... wiped his nose there too.)

     Fear is a fabric
that folds under stress, and when
    in hot water, shrinks.

Finally, a Finely Fried Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

    In that 'long ago',
all of us are ever young ...
    never more alive.

    blossom in reluctant minds,

rides a quiet wave to shore
    the world is at peace.

    THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

    This link got to me.

This mother lost two of three triplets, evidently and it recounts her taking her four year old to preschool for the first time and then LEAVING HER THERE. hahahhah

My granddaughter is going to her first day of preschool on Monday, next.

The parents had to work out the delivery system as well as the recovery system.

Yet Another Laborious Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

Here's this week's heap of haikus:

    Autumn taught 'em, when
the first leaf falls from a tree
    Summer soon will wane.

( I saw that first leaf today, lying quietly on the sidewalk.)

A Feckless, Freckled Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

    Drunk and bewildered ...
Well, here I am, 2 PM.
    Heck, what day is it?

    Other Lurkers

Now that acanuck has been outed as Justin Bieber (see "Would You Vote for Ted Cruz..."), I wonder what other celebrities are lurking behind Dagblog monikers.  Suspected all along that "Ramona" was actually Kim Kardashian,  but who really is behind the "Michael Wolraich" tag?

How do we know what we know?

    A bust of Socrates

I got this epiphany of sorts.

Where should I put this thought or these thoughts?

I started something earlier in the week and I shall get to it.

    How to begin?

My Grandaughter went to my son.

And she asked a simple question, the type of question I never ever asked or questioned.

    She asked her Dad:

    Why am I Noela?

First, she went to Dad and not Mom?

    Quietly, the dusk
    soothes the ocean waters and
    calms the day for night.

    MESMER

Franz Anton Mesmer.jpgMesmer treated patients both individually and in groups. With individuals he would sit in front of his patient with his knees touching the patient's knees, pressing the patient's thumbs in his hands, looking fixedly into the patient's eyes. Mesmer made "passes", moving his hands from patients' shoulders down along their arms.

Trump is as wonderful as he says he is

    Trump says: "Just kidding"

    About the Mexican Judge.

    ..........Until November

    Rats are deserting

    That ship the GOP built

    Because they are scared.

    Even Ivanka --

    The cool cucumber she is

    Knows not what to say.

    Sing along with Trump:

    Mexicans, Muslims, and blacks...

    All love me because?

    Women know I'm great

    Because I'm not a loser.

    Mommy, mom....love me!!!!!
