PPP has been in the field this week at the request of Move On.org. Huffington Post published some of the results Sunday night. It looks like if this goes too long the Republicans will lose the House in next year elections. If you click on the link at the end of the article you will see the district results.

I can tell you about the 3 Florida districts in the poll. Florida 2 is R+5 and the DCCC has recruited Gwen Graham, the daughter of Sen./ Gov. Bob Graham of Florida. She is turning out to have the same instinct as her father for politics. She is a very good fit up there in that Tallahassee district and is polling well already. Florida 13 is R+1. Young has been in the House forever and is getting really old and cranky. This is the Clearwater and northern St. Pete district. There is currently an election in Nov. for mayor of St. Pete the Democrat is way ahead in this race against an incumbent Republican. This seat is one of the ones that DCCC has in it's bulls eye. No heavy weight has announced yet. Also Clearwater is the home town of Charley Crist. If he runs for Gov then Young is toast with a good local Dem in that race. Florida 10 is R+7 but I am sure that is too generous now. This is Orlando suburbs and Winter Heaven and that area is rapidly trending blue because of the Latino and Porto Rican population that works in hotels and parks. Webster is also on the DCCC bulls eye. I don't think there has been anyone announce yet for the Dems. That is in the heart of the I-4 corridor that wanted the high speed rail that Scott turned down. Webster was not polling all that well before the shut down. Winter Heaven is were the new Lego Land is.

Ok here is another... Polk County's FL-15 district seat R+8. Dennis Ross is running scared also. He was the one to author the bill to take the subsides from the congressional staff for their health care. He has changed his mind about the shut down. I would say he is running a little scared for his job also. This is only his 2nd term and he ran unopposed the second time. Polk County is just east of Tampa and north east where I live. He is planning a Town Hall meeting on Oct 18th so that is going to be interesting on the local news. These old people are going to give him a hard time. I would bet he is hearing from them. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/05/dennis-ross-government-shutdown_n_4050231.html?ref=topbar

Market rout would seal GOP fate?
A Kos poster conjectured that Boehner refuses to bring a clean CR to a House vote this week, as, regardless of the 2014 or other polls, Republicans, like lemmings with suicide vests, would en masse link arms and vote it down.
Causing an immediate and severe drop in US and world stock markets.
The market reaction would make it clear, even to Republicans, that come Oct. 17th, the vote must change, and their game must end or they will be finished, not only in some districts, but as a national Party.
So he continues to play chicken with Obama, hoping the Democrats will fold first.

I read the same thing over at Kos. The problem is that the Koch bros. and followers have planned this for a long time and spent their whole life on this project. Both are now in their late seventies and time is running out for them. Once they are gone, that gravy train for the followers could very well end. This is a desperate move they are making. It is the Koch's money that has bought them power.
